Jesse’s Bike got stolen, so if you see any brown old Schwinns, ask the gentleman/gentle lady/junk broker, if they would stop their bike theft madness and promptly slash the tires, and walk away…

Monte’s New Video

Monte was involved in the making of a video short called “Are You Qualified”. It is a skit about a man trying to get a job, and getting through the interviewer’s eccentric skill tests.

Are You Qualified?

It also features music by The Modern Golem!

This is The Modern Golem, telling you a friendly reminder to start your lettuce and cabbage seeds for the spring! Here is a comparison of our fallow fields and an interdimensional fallow field, for what its worth…

Coming up in March, we will playing shows around the Portland area, with surprises and good party times.

New Modern Lair, new modern recordings.

We have the tools to create a powerful compilation of music to seek out the anthem for the ages. We also have coasters in collect-em-all Style. Soon they will be cards that fight against each other in imagination..

We have entered the new Modern Lair where we will lay down the phat beat and the groovy rhythms that will stir up a little bit of the air around you.

We’ll be taking it easy on shows until we come up with a good tangible piece of art in the form of an album and a compilation of recorded tunes.

And once recorded tunes are with you, they will be of enough quality to help a lot of people jog a little better, and as time drips along like molasses, but flows like a mountain stream, we can only try help each other pass the moments 3 minutes at a time…

Leaves will fall when seasons change…

Hey ya’ll welcome to the indian summer of September!

The Modern Golem lineup is complete with Zac moving to Bass and Monte moving to drums, Jesse on keys, and Reed on guitar and lead vocals, and we are hitting the streets hard with golden colors and candy. Make sure to check up on our shows, as we are booking. Listen for our new songs too!

Ian is sadly leaving us, but he will play with us one more time at Someday Lounge on the 8th. And he’ll rock it like he’s wearing 4 pairs of socks.

It was some strange, sad feeling when we had to clean up “the studio”, the place where the seeds were sewn, the nest was made, and we packed it all up, swept up all the cans and bottles, mouse poop, and pieces of tissue that used to be in ears but the show must go on and we will be working hard to sand down our new practice space in North Portland which means no driving to Beaverton on route 26 at the height of rush hour!

See you at the show tomorrow…

check you later…
